Japan-South Korea "comfort women" deal
South Korean dailies dated Dec. 28, 2017, address the issue of so-called "comfort women," who were forced to work in Japan's wartime military brothels. The South Korean government issued a report the previous day stating that the opinions of the victims were not "sufficiently reflected" in the negotiation process for a deal reached with Japan in 2015.
