Japan launches world's tiniest satellite-carrying rocket
Japan launches a rocket about the size of a utility pole from the Uchinoura Space Center in southwestern Japan's Kagoshima Prefecture on Feb. 3, 2018. The No. 5 vehicle of the SS-520 series, carrying a microsatellite weighing about 3 kilograms developed to collect imagery of the Earth's surface, was placed into orbit later in the day. (Kyodo)
