Kimono representing 100 countries
High school students are attired in kimono bearing designs representing 100 of the 196 countries expected to join the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics at an event in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture, southwestern Japan, on April 29, 2018. The kimono were produced as part of a project by a Kurume-based entity to use kimono to send a message that the world is united. (Kyodo)
