Parasols donated to eastern Japan city to beat heatwave

Tokyo-based parasol maker Aurora Co. and major textile company Toray Industries Ltd. donated a combined 70 parasols to the eastern Japan prefecture earlier in the day at a time when many parts of the country are experiencing dangerous heatwaves, including Saitama's Kumagaya city where the mercury logged Japan's highest-ever temperature of 41.1 C in late July.
