Comfort women statue in Taiwan

People hold a sit-in on Aug. 14, 2018 in front of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association office in Taipei seeking a Japanese government apology and compensation over so-called comfort women, who were forced to work in Japanese wartime military brothels.
