4 yrs after Mt. Ontake eruption
People lay flowers on a monument set up near the summit of Mt. Ontake in central Japan to commemorate victims in the 2014 volcanic eruption on Sept. 26, 2018, a day before the fourth anniversary of Japan's deadliest postwar volcanic disaster. Entry restrictions on a path to the summit were lifted the same day for the first time since the disaster, which claimed 58 lives and left five other people unaccounted for. (Kyodo)
