Japan names new era "Reiwa"
Photo taken in Kamakura, near Tokyo, on April 1, 2019, shows Norikazu Takahashi, a resident in the Kanagawa Prefecture city, posing with his business card after the government announced the name of Japan's new era, "Reiwa," earlier in the day. His first name uses the same kanji characters as the new ear, which will begin May 1 when Crown Prince Naruhito ascends the throne to succeed his father Emperor Akihito. (Kyodo)
