Japan's new era Reiwa
Photo taken at a museum in Asuka village, Nara Prefecture, western Japan, shows a Japanese-style painting depicting an ancient plum-viewing party during which one of Japan's oldest poetry collections, "Manyoshu," is said to have been composed. A poem in the collection, shown on the right side of the painting, was the source of Japan's new era name, Reiwa. (Kyodo)
