Wartime laborer statue in Busan
Police officers keep guard around the Japanese Consulate in Busan, South Korea, on April 14, 2019. Civic group members gathered in the city the same day to protest against the removal by the local government of a statue of an emaciated man they had erected near the consulate to symbolize Korean laborers forcibly taken to Japan during wartime.
