Disaster-hit shrines in Fukushima
Photo taken in April 2019 shows priests conducting a ritual in front of the temporary pavilion of Hachiman Shrine in the town of Futaba, Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan. A plan has been forged to establish a new place of worship on the grounds of Hachiman Shrine as a substitute for many other shrines in the prefecture that were damaged or made inaccessible by the 2011 earthquake-tsunami disaster and nuclear crisis.
