Peace Park in Nagasaki

The Peace Statue at Nagasaki's Peace Park is lit up on July 8, 2019, a practice that started as part of the southwestern Japan city's illumination project covering major sightseeing spots. The statue, located at Ground Zero of the Aug. 9, 1945 atomic bombing by the U.S. military, will be lit up every day from sunset to 10 p.m. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
