Nagasaki A-bomb survivor Ihara dies at 83
Toyokazu Ihara, head of the 1945 U.S. atomic bombing victims' group in Nagasaki, pledges to realize peace on Aug. 9, 2016, at a ceremony in the southwestern Japan city marking the 71st anniversary of the attack. He died of renal pelvis cancer on July 30, 2019, at age 83. (Kyodo)
