Takuya Yamato and his wife Shinobu, whose 22-year-old son Hikaru was killed in the April 2016 earthquake that hit their hometown in Aso, Kumamoto Prefecture, southwestern Japan, hold on Aug. 3, 2019, in Ozu in the same prefecture sake that was made from rice planted by the son just before the quake. World's oldest man celebrates 115th birthday

KYOTO, Japan - Jiroemon Kimura, the world's oldest man and the oldest person in Japan, holds his 11-month-old great-great-grandson Akikazu Oda on his lap at his home in Kyotango, Kyoto Prefecture, on April 19, 2012, his 115th birthday.
