Premium persimmons in Japan
Photo taken Oct. 25, 2019, shows a pair of premium "Tenka Fubu" persimmons that sold for 700,000 yen ($6,440) in the season's first auction at a wholesale market in Toyoyama, Aichi Prefecture, central Japan. They were grown in nearby Gifu Prefecture under a project led by the local government. (Kyodo)
