Movable housing used at South Pole
Photo taken at the National Institute of Polar Research in Tachikawa, western Tokyo, on Oct. 29, 2019, shows a movable housing facility that can be used under extreme weather conditions such as at the South Pole. Know-how and technologies used for the facility, developed by Japan's space agency JAXA and major housing developer Misawa Homes Co., are expected to be reflected in the proposed moon base construction in the future.
