Reserved space for large luggage on bullet trains
Photo taken inside a shinkansen bullet train at JR Tokyo Station on May 20, 2020, shows a space reserved for extra-large luggage under a new service that started the same day. Tokaido, Sanyo and Kyushu shinkansen passengers with large luggage measuring more than 160 centimeters in total height, depth and width are required to make advanced reservations for the rearmost seats of cars so they can place their luggage in the space behind the seats.
