Japanese composer wins 1st prize in Geneva music contest
Musicians play a 15-minute piece named "L'instant" for which Japan's Hinako Takagi received top prize in the composition division of the Geneva International Music Competition on Nov. 8, 2019. Takagi, 30, a research assistant at the Osaka College of Music, was one of the two first-prize winners along with Daniel Arango-Prada of Colombia. (Kyodo)
