Japan enacts law with tougher penalties for road rage incidents
A Japanese law to impose harsher penalties for road rage incidents is enacted during a House of Representatives plenary session in Tokyo on June 2, 2020, in the wake of several high-profile fatal accidents. The revised road traffic law will also oblige elderly drivers aged 75 or older with records of traffic offenses to pass a driving test when renewing their license. (Kyodo)
