Japan enacts law with tougher penalties for road rage incidents
Japanese National Public Safety Commission chairman Ryota Takeda bows after a law to impose harsher penalties for road rage incidents was enacted at a House of Representatives plenary session in Tokyo on June 2, 2020. The revised road traffic law will also oblige elderly drivers aged 75 or older with records of traffic offenses to pass a driving test when renewing their license. (Kyodo)
