Yamagata cherries transported by shinkansen
Four hundred packets of cherries arrive at JR Sendai Station in northeastern Japan from Yamagata Prefecture, Japan's largest producer of the fruit, to be transported by a shinkansen bullet train to Tokyo on June 25, 2020. The cherries will be sold in stores at Tokyo and Ueno stations to help producers suffering from sales shortfalls following the coronavirus outbreak. (Kyodo)
