Imperial throne of emperor put on display in Kyoto
The canopied "Takamikura" imperial throne used in Japanese Emperor Naruhito's October 2019 proclamation of his enthronement is put on public display at Kyoto Imperial Palace in western Japan on July 18, 2020. A limited number of people, up to 5,000 per day, are allowed to visit the palace to look at the throne until Aug. 27, while observing social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.
