Abe refrains from visiting war-linked Yasukuni Shrine

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe lays flowers at the Chidorigafuchi National Cemetery in Tokyo for unidentified war dead on Aug. 15, 2020, as Japan marks 75 years since its surrender in World War II. Abe refrained from visiting Yasukuni Shrine, seen by Japan's neighbors as a symbol of its past militarism, but four ministers in his Cabinet did so.
