Abe refrains from visiting war-linked Yasukuni Shrine
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is pictured before laying flowers at the Chidorigafuchi National Cemetery in Tokyo for unidentified war dead on Aug. 15, 2020, as Japan marks 75 years since its surrender in World War II. Abe refrained from visiting Yasukuni Shrine, seen by Japan's neighbors as a symbol of its past militarism, but four ministers in his Cabinet did so.
