Map exercise for expected major quake in Japan
Officials take part in an anti-disaster map drill at the Mie prefectural government building in the central Japan city of Tsu on Sept. 1, 2020, the country's Disaster Prevention Day. The drill is based on the scenario that a massive earthquake originating in the Nankai Trough in the Pacific hit the region, with it held on the 97th anniversary of the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake that killed over 100,000 people.
