Japan PM Suga visits disaster-hit Fukushima nuclear power plant
Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga (front) visits the disaster-stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in northeastern Japan on Sept. 26, 2020. The day trip is Suga's first since he replaced former leader Shinzo Abe, who stepped down for health reasons, and is aimed at demonstrating the government's continued commitment to rebuilding the areas impacted by the massive earthquake and tsunami in March 2011 and the nuclear crisis that followed.
