Buddhist hall illumination

Shiramizu Amidado, a Buddhist hall at Ganjo-ji temple in Iwaki in Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan, is lit up on Nov. 7, 2020. The illumination event at the national treasure-designated hall began in 2012 to shore up local tourism after the March 2011 earthquake-tsunami disaster and the subsequent nuclear crisis in the region.
