Event on North Korean abduction issue

A video message from Sakie Yokota, whose daughter Megumi was abducted by North Korea in 1977 at age 13, is played during an event to call for the return of Japanese abductees to North Korea in Niigata, northwest of Tokyo, on Nov. 15, 2020, the 43rd anniversary of Megumi's abduction from a beach in the prefecture. Her father Shigeru died on June 5 at age 87, without ever being reunited with his daughter.
