"Daruma" dolls on sale in Fukushima town
People tug a 3.7-meter-high "daruma" good luck doll at an event on Jan. 9, 2021, in Futaba, the Fukushima Prefecture town that jointly hosts the crippled nuclear power plant. The event also featured the sale of about 1,300 red-colored daruma dolls for which the town is famous -- for the first time after the March 2011 nuclear crisis, after an evacuation order was lifted in part of the town in March last year.
