***JULY 10, 2019, FILE PHOTO*** The Prague Municipal Appeals Court today, on Thursday, September 10, 2019, upheld a a one-year suspended sentence with two-year probation for Jaroslav Stanik (centre, white shirt), the opposition anti-EU Freedom and Direct Democracy's (SPD) former secretary, for his statements aimed against homosexuals, Romanies and Jews. Stanik was also fined 70,000 crowns. The court ruled that Stanik committed the crimes of fomenting hatred towards a group of people and restricting their rights and freedoms, and denying, challenging, approving and excusing genocide.
