The Byli jsme pri tom (We Were There) street exhibition presents unpublished Velvet Revolution images, Kamila Mouckova

The Byli jsme pri tom (We Were There) street exhibition, which starts at Jan Palach square in Prague, Czech Republic, on September 24, 2019, presents unpublished photographs from the events of the 1989 Velvet Revolution, that toppled the Communist regime, by then student photographers and Czech Television (CT) cameramen. The exhibition will last until October 11. It is accompanied by the publishing of a book of 170 photographs christened by broadcaster Kamila Mouckova, left. Mouckova, 91, was the first broadcaster announcing the invasion of the Warsaw Pact armies of Czechoslovakia on August 21, 1968, ending the era of liberalisation reforms known as the Prague Spring.
