Czech rescuers special Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team to Beirut

Czech rescuers will reach Beirut at about 19:00 local time today, being the second or third foreign team arriving to help tackle the aftermath of Tuesday's devastating explosion, Interior Minister Jan Hamacek told media on the team's departure today, on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Czechia is sending a special Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team to Beirut. The USAR, comprised of firefighters from Prague and the Moravia-Silesia Region, is designated to find and save people from ruins of buildings.
