The treasure tower at the Okusha,Toshogu Shrine,Nikko

The Okusha, or tomb of Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu is enshrined in the back of the Homoto Hall of Toshogu. Within the stone walls leading from the Inuki Gate is the bronze Hoto on top of the eight-coloured and five-storied stone. There are candle stands in front in the shape of a crane and turtle, with an incense burner and three-legged flower vase. The tomb is surrounded by ancient cedar trees.==Date:unknown, Place:Nikko, Photo:Kusakabe Kinbei, (Credit:Nagasaki University Library/Kyodo News Images) [Cabinet Number2‐38‐0]
