The Chokugaku-mon Gate of Yusho-in Reibyo, Zojoji Temple, Shiba

The tomb of the Seventh Shogun Ietsugu which was located to the north of Bunshoin. The Chokugaku Gate had bronze roof tiles and was cornered with Chinese-style bargeboards, and the sides have Chinese-style gates with four legs in chidori bargeboards. Dragon carvings can be observed on the pillars.           Zojoji is one of the six head temples of the Jodoshu, and is the tomb place of the Tokugawa family. Yushoin is the Buddhist name of the seventh Shogun Tokugawa Ietsugu.
