The Gojosaka area leading to Kiyomizu temple in the centre of the Higashiyama district of Kyoto City has many slopes and is best known for its climbing ceramic kilns.Many Kyoto dolls were made in Azuma and Shijo,Kyogoku, and some of rather mediocre quality were made to the west of Gojohashi.
