The "Hospital del Rey" was founded in Toledo in 1603 by the Corpus Christi Brotherhood as a place of healing for the poor and people without resources, a task it carried out until 1836, when it became part of the Provincial Charity and was converted into an old people's home until 2005, when it closed.
