It was completed in 1895 according to the wishes of the head priest, Otani Kosho. Built in single-story irimoya style with a tiled roof, it is 76m wide, 56m deep, 38m high, and covers 3,800 square metres. It is probably the beginning of summer because the trees are lush with leaves. The terrace was renovated in 1633. The building is in the yosemune style, and the roof is made entirely of hinoki tree bark. Wings flank the west side and the east and west of the south side. Otsune Palace is built in the shoin-zukuri style and was rebuilt in 1855. Inoue Mankichi Inoue of Nagasaki Prefecture bought a sub-temple called Yaami from Anyoji Temple at Maruyama in 1879, then renovated it in Western style and opened it as the Yaami Hotel. Many foreigners stayed here, but the building burned down in 1906.
