Kudanzaka slope and a lighthouse

Kudanzaka slope and a lighthouse

A steep slope from the Kanda direction to the Kojimachi hills along the inner turret of the Imperial Palace. The slope was made less steep as a result of restoration work after the Great Kanto Earthquake. A lighthouse was built in 1872 as a landmark for the fishing ships in Tokyo Bay. The magnitude of the lighthouse can be seen from the person in front.==Date:unknown, Place:Tokyo, Photo:unknown, (Credit:Nagasaki University Library/Kyodo News Images) [Cabinet Number22‐3‐0]
