            This is the view from the present-day Iriuda in Odawara City and Yamasaki in Hakone-machi when facing Yumoto. The road is Tokaido Highway (present-day National Route 1) and a cart, rickshaw, and pails are visible. Three children, possibly brothers and sister, are standing. The telegraph pole is on the right.               Southeastern view of Mt. Fuji from Shojiko, one of the five lakes of Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture. The mountain is snow-capped and the upside-down Fuji and Mt. Omuro are visible on the lake surface.                 This is the view from Shin-machi of the post town of Hakone when facing Hakone checkpoint. The mountain behind is Komagadake. The street where the palanquin men are is Tokaido Highway (present-day National Route 1). The house on the right is facing toward southwest and a child and an old man are enjoying the sun. Judging from their clothes, it appears to be either late autumn or early spring.                   This torii does not stand at present, only a monument next to a petrol station. But it was probably famous during the Meiji era, and many photos remain of this scene. A procession of mountain palanquins and umbrellas is seen, some of the people looking like soldiers.                     Nakanodake Shrine is located at the south foot of Mt. Kondo (also called Nakanodake). The deities worshipped are Nihon Buson in the Hongu and Okuninushinomikoto in the Zengu.                       This is Kagami-ike (Mirror Pond) located at the southeast of Chumon Gate of Todaiji Temple. Since Mt. Wakakusa is visible afar, this is the view from the Nanboku (lit. South-North) approach to the temple when facing southeast. The stairs at west of Nakashima Island and a torii gate are present.
