          The garden contains various trees, and lanterns and landscaping stones decorate the garden on the slope. The hotel entrance has a karahafu style roof. Inoue Mankichi Inoue of Nagasaki Prefecture bought a sub-temple called Yaami from Anyoji Temple at Maruyama in 1879, then renovated it in Western style and opened it as the Yaami Hotel. Many foreigners stayed here, but the building burned down in 1906.             The Nio Gate of Kiyomizu Temple. There are stone lanterns on both the north and the south sides of the stone stairway in front of the gate. The west gate and the three-story pagoda are visible on the far right. Built during the Muromachi Era (1392-1573), the Nio Gate had three rooms and one door with a hiwadabuki (bark-covered) roof. The statue of Kongo Rikishi is situated in the area surrounded by a kongo fence (a fence made of vertical stakes with decoratively shaped finials resembling the ritual object called kongosho used in esoteric Buddhist rites) with lattice work above it. The copper lanterns on the left were donated by feudal lords. Engraved on the lanterns are the words In front of Bunshoin, October 24, 1712.                   This is a teahouse in front of Otenmon Gate at Heian Shrine. Lanterns hang near the wisteria trellis. People are relaxing under the wisteria blossoms. A woman holding a parasol on a rickshaw is visible on the right, as well as Daigokuden Hall beyond the gate. The shrine was built in 1895. This may have been taken by the British photographer H. G.                     Enzu-kyo Bridge at Nishi Otani Temple, looking north from the southern edge of Kogetsu Pond. Made of stone, the bridge was built in 1865. Called Spectacles Bridge because of its shape, the bridge bustled with people who came here to view the red and white lotus flowers from the end of the Edo to the Meiji Period. Two men are posing on the bridge looking down at the flowers. Stone lanterns are installed along the eastern side of the bridge.                       The Sanmon Gate,Shiba Zojoji Temple

                      This is Sangedatsu Gate (Sanmon), the middle gate in the temple precincts. The name (lit. three liberations) is said to refer to the Buddhist concept of release from the three poisons (greed, anger, and complaint), or to the three gates (Kuumon, Musoumon, Muganmon) in Paradise. It is said that the gate was reconstructed in 1623.
