          This is Kagami-ike (Mirror Pond) located at the southeast of Chumon Gate of Todaiji Temple. Since Mt. Wakakusa is visible afar, this is the view from the Nanboku (lit. South-North) approach to the temple when facing southeast. The stairs at west of Nakashima Island and a torii gate are present.             Arashiyama (Mt. Arashi) has a height of about 380 meters. It is located on the east edge of the Tanba Highlands and has Torigamine and Yamagamine to the northwest and Mt. Matsuo to the southeast. Hozu River runs from the north to the east at the northern foot of the mountain. A bamboo grove with a brushwood fence is shown at the bank of Hozu River, with hotels in the distance. A rickshaw with a woman passenger stands in front of the grove and a man stands nearby. The left side of the road is probably a boat anchorage.                   Balcony of the main hall of Kiyomizu Temple seen from Okuno-in, facing west-northwest. Among the sightseers there are women with parasols. It is probably the beginning of summer because the trees are lush with leaves. The terrace was renovated in 1633. The building is in the yosemune style, and the roof is made entirely of hinoki tree bark. Wings flank the west side and the east and west of the south side.
