The approach to Hakone Shrine

This is the Byobu Torii Gate standing at the entrance to the approach of Hakone Shrine. At present, the gate is no longer there, but a stone monument next to the gasoline station. This is a famous scenic spot and the crossroad from the post town of Hata and from Ashinoyu. Torii gates at Fushimi Shrine

The red Senbon Torii (one thousand gates) along the eastern approach to Fushimi Inari Taisha are viewed looking southeast. The approach starts at Kamigoden Hall on the east side of the shrine precincts and stretches in a southeasterly direction to the foot of Mt. Inari, Myobusha. There are many visitors. Lake Chuzenji

Futarasan Shinto Shrine is viewed from the Ojiri River side, on the east side of the lake. The facility, which enshrines the deity Futara-gongen, was built by Shodoshonin in 784. This is Kagami-ike (Mirror Pond) located at the southeast of Chumon Gate of Todaiji Temple. Since Mt. Wakakusa is visible afar, this is the view from the Nanboku (lit. South-North) approach to the temple when facing southeast. The stairs at west of Nakashima Island and a torii gate are present.
