Yokohama Customs
The newly built Yokohama Customs Building, moved from the former location in 1885. The Prefecture Office moved into the old building. This is a typical Meiji-Period government building of symmetrical construction with a tower placed in the centre. The building was a landmark on Nihon Boulevard until being destroyed in the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923.==Date:unknown, Place:Yokohama, Photo:unknown, (Credit:Nagasaki University Library/Kyodo News Images) [Cabinet Number55‐7‐0]
