The Jikan Falls,Nikko

This waterfall is situated about two kilometers upstream from Urami Falls at Arasawa, a tributary of Daiya River. It is reported that Shugakuin Jikan earmarked the waterfall in 1866. Due to recurring floods, it is presently devoid of water. This waterfall is sometimes referred to as Jigan Falls, but this is incorrect, as Jigan refers to Tenkai.==Date:unknown, Place:Nikko, Photo:unknown, (Credit:Nagasaki University Library/Kyodo News Images) [Cabinet Number58‐15‐2]
