This is Chokugaku Gate (right) and the bell tower of Yushoin Mausoleum. The front precinct of the Tokugawa mausoleums were laid out with the bell tower to the left and the mizuya and idoyakata (well) to the right when facing the gate. The Okusha (inner shrine) at Nikko Toshogu contains the tomb of Tokugawa Ieyasu. Above the stone steps is Inuki Gate, behind which the pagoda containing the tomb is visible.
