The high stone walls surrounding the principal compound of Kumamoto Castle are viewed from Chibajo at the eastern edge of the castle grounds. The upper part of the main castle tower and the Ura Gokai Turret to its right are visible. Kita Juhakken Turret in the upper left corner and Hira Turret are intact original structures and have been designated as Important Cultural Assets.
