Mt. Fuji seen from Yoshiwara

Mt. Fuji viewed from around Yodabashi-cho, Fuji City. Tokaido Highway follows the line of pine trees in the centre. The trees were planted between Yoshihara Post Town and Moto Yoshiwara. The only area along the Tokaido Highway where Mt. Fuji rises on the left, this spot was referred to as Hidari Fuji (Left Fuji). Rice paddies were found throughout the area.==Date:unknown, Place:Shizuoka, Photo:unknown, (Credit:Nagasaki University Library/Kyodo News Images) [Cabinet Number72‐143‐0]
