The Mogi Coast

The mouth of the Wakana River at Mogi-Hongo in the mid-Meiji Period. Mogi was a popular resort among foreigners. The prefecture road to Mogi opened in 1885 and Mogi Hotel (later Beach Hotel) started service in 1906 and welcomed many visitors.
