The Nitenmon Gate,Taiyuin Shrine,Nikko

Yushoin at Zojoji Temple in Shiba, Tokyo is the mausoleum of the seventh shogun Tokugawa Ietsugu. Ietsugu succeeded his father Ienobu and became shogun at the age of three, but died at eight. The structures at Yushoin were as splendid as those at Nikko Toshogu, but most of them were destroyed by the air raids in 1945. Only this Nitenmon remains.==Date:unknown, Place:Tokyo, Photo:A.
