Yaomasa Restaurant is located on the north side of the west end of the bridge. The building is in the yosemune style, and the roof is made entirely of hinoki tree bark. Wings flank the west side and the east and west of the south side. It was called Spectacles Bridge because of its shape and bustled with people who came here to view the red and white lotus flowers from the end of the Edo to the Meiji Period. There are women and children standing along one of the bridge's railings.                     This is the mouth of Momijidani River, which flows to the west of Itsukushima Shinto Shrine. On the Onishimachi side of the river is the Nishino Matsubara with the red pines and stone lanterns. Mt. Suisho is visible in the distance.
