Ozawa pleads not guilty over political funds scandal
TOKYO, Japan - Former Democratic Party of Japan leader Ichiro Ozawa (C) enters the Tokyo District Court in Tokyo on Oct. 6, 2011. Ozawa pleaded not guilty to a charge of violating the political funds control law as his trial began at the court. Ozawa, widely regarded as a kingmaker in the ruling party, faces trial for false reporting of funds handled by his political fund management body Rikuzankai in connection with a land deal in Tokyo.
